Have Your Say Event

Sid Valley Neighbourhood Plan Have Your Say Event

This event was intended to offer residents and special interest groups the opportunity to contribute to an evidence base and character assessment of what was special about the Sid Valley. Throughout the event the participants moved around various discussion groups and all comments were captured and summarised on flip charts. This local knowledge helped support the vision for the place based policies that will form part of the final NDP.

Following the event in January 2017, the SG received an extensive report containing maps, numerous photos and a full explanation of the character areas within Sid Valley. This report will form part of the final submitted Neighbourhood Plan. The NDP can stipulate heights of buildings, materials to be used and styles that are in keeping with the existing architecture of the various defined character areas. The actual event was very well received and the SG received many compliments from the attendees on the professional organisation of the entire day.
